Video not available in my country
Some content partners choose to make their videos available only to certain countries. For instance, they may only have the licensing rights for a particular region.

Alert me when someone responds to my comments
If I post a comment on a page, it'd be nice to know when someone posts a reply to that comment. One of the great things about M&C is that it so often elicits lively discussions from a diverse group of people. As it stand, though, the conversation is hindered by the fact that one must keep returning to previously visited pages in order to see how the conversation has advanced. A notice in my Inbox that says "someone has replied to your comment on [insert link here]" would be perfect.

Mark videos which are blocked in certain countries
Many video hosting sites are restricting their video playback to only certain countries. By marking them users could understand why their videos aren't playing and avoid them.

Allow ways to "reintroduce" links
Too often, quality links fall through the crack of the Latest Links section when no votes have been cast. This leads to a bad problem. A) The quality link will not reach the headline and will be overlooked by many people, and B) Any attempts to submit the link again after it was "missed" simply creates a mountain of duplicates in the system. Brainstorming ways to do this

Allow us to suggest old favorite headlines
I remember some great headlines from months and even years past. I can't submit them because they are repeats. I would like to suggest they be re-evaluated by the community as possible headlines again. Credit would go to original submitter.
See the "Best of M&C" for some of the contenders.22 votes -
Use inline comment forms
Instead of going to a new page to create a comment, provide a form on the comment page itself and have it process the information in place.

Use a single page for submitting links
Instead of going through a three page process, reuse the same page for the processing of each stage of the link submit process.

change playlist submission
I don't understand the current system at all. Why can't I submit a playlist with multiple vids in one go? Right now I have to upload every video seperately and only permanent or headline playlists even show up in the latest links section at all... Is moderation more important in playlists than for single vids?

Allow non-moderators to vote on links
Please allow people other than moderators to vote on links. Very few of my submissions get posted I can only conclude that most of the moderators have different tastes than my own. I'm sure other people have encountered this problem. We need a way to counteract this flaw!

Use Gravitar for user avatars
A gravatar, or globally recognized avatar, is quite simply an image that follows you from site to site appearing beside your name when you do things. Avatars help identify your posts on blogs and web forums, so why not on any site? http://gravatar.com

Allow us to edit our own comments and/or link submission titles/descriptions.
Granted, I'm new at this, but I've already had several "I should have had a V8" moments after posting less-than-immaculate user generated content. Moderators have only applied mild canings as punishment thus far, but it would be nice if we could correct our own flubs.

Update your RSS to include Media
The existing RSS feed is boring. But including videos, images and link details such as comment count, ratings, hits and users, reading feeds in readers will be a richer experience.

Add timestamps for comments
Currently, there's no indication when a comment was left. If we added a time and dated them....

Comment prominence determined by value
Milk and Cookies has the best comments of any public viral site. The only reason for this seems to be that interesting users tend to hang out there. It's only a matter of time before spammers and trolls render the comment section futile.
Rather than sequencing comment threads chronologically, they could be sequenced by how much anyone might want to read them. Comments can get up-down thumbs or similar, and the score of the user thumbing the comment should affect the influence of the thumbing. Don't do something stupid, like giving a million-point user four orders of magnitude more influence… more
